Controversy over inclusion of Maoists in Prachanda's security
Kathmandu, Aug 19 : The Maoist's decision to include the Maoist combatants for the security of Prime Minister Prachanda today sparked off a dispute in the new alliance.
The Unified Marxist-Leninist (UML) has urged the Maoist to withdraw its decision claiming that it is totally opposed to their previous agreements and understandings made during the formation of the new alliance.
UML leader Bishnu Poudel said that the Maoist's decision has shadowed the dispute over power sharing and that it has moreover made them concerned over the issue.
He said that the UML will strictly raise the issue in the next meeting with the Maoists.
The Madhesi Peoples Rights Forum (MPRF) have also urged the Maoists to withdraw its decision.
Meanwhile, a meeting of the top leaders of the UML and the MPRF is underway here.
A joint meeting of the three-party alliance is scheduled for later today after the talks between the UML and MPRF ends, Kantipur reported.
