City youth gets threat SMS from Pakistan
Vadodara, Aug 19 (UNI) Gujarat police has initiated an investigation into an SMS emanating from Pakistan threatening to destroy the country.
The city police were stunned after the SMS, which was sent to a student of chartered accountancy in the city yesterday in the name of Lashkar-e-Muslim, was traced to Pakistan following an inquiry.
Talking to UNI, J P Road police inspector A M Patel said, as the threat had come from across the border, the matter had been referred to the state police headquarters for appropriate action. However, police had registered the offence under section 507 of the Mumbai Police Act.
The SMS was sent to one Kiran Parasmal Saha, a resident of Ashutosh Society under Karelibaug police station, threatened to kill every Indian and destroy the country.
