BJP demands fresh elections in Jharkhand
Bangalore, Aug 19 (UNI) Ruling out the possibilities of supporting any group in Jharkhand to form a new Government, BJP President Rajnath Singh today favoured fresh elections to that State.
Talking to newspersons here, Mr Rajnath said his party would not support Jharkhand Mukti Morcha(JMM) or any other group after the Madhu Khoda Government was reduced to minority, following withdrawal of support from JMM.
Recalling that the BJP, which had formed Government after emerging as the single largest legislative party, was dislodged later, the BJP Chief said, holding fresh elections to the assembly was the best course to end the political crisis.
He also ruled out the possibility of extending support to JMM leader Shibu Soren to form the Government.
