PPP bill tabled in UP Assembly
Lucknow, Aug 19: Paving the way for Private Party Participation (PPP) in the field of higher education, Uttar Pradesh government on Tuesday, Aug 19 tabled a bill in the state assembly for establishing 'Swami Vivekanand Subharati Vishwavidyalaya' in Meerut.
The university is proposed to be established by a Subharati KKB Chartitable Trust, Meerut and the bill to this effect was tabled in the assembly by UP Higher Education Minister Rakesh Dhar Tripathi.
The Bill would provide facilities for teachers and students in the proposed university as per the modern teaching methods with emphasis on personality development.
It is likley to be passed by the state legislature during ongoing monsoon session and would be the first university under the PPP model.
