Security beefed up for CM's visit
Kakinada, Andhra Pradesh, Aug 18 (UNI) East Godavari Superintendent of Police Y Nagireddy today said strict security arrangements have been made for the visit of Chief Minister Y S Rajasekhera Reddy in Kakinada and Rajahmundry cities on August 20.
Addressing a press conference here, he said as many as 2,000 police personnel would be deployed at various places to strengthen the security and advised the people not to burst crackers at or near the venues of CM's visit.
He said handbags, suitcases, cell phones, cigarette packets, match boxes and other explosive substances were banned at the venues of public meetings, to be addressed by Dr Reddy.
