People's Liberation Army to be deputed for Prachanda's security
Kathmandu, Aug 18 : The CPN-Maoist has decided to depute the People's Liberation Army (PLA) for the security of the Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal alias 'Prachanda'.
The Maoist central committee meeting held today decided that along with the Nepal national army and the police forces, the People's Liberation Army too would be involved in the security of Prachanda.
The meeting also reviewed the latest political development and discussed selection of the leaders for inclusion in the government, rearrangement of the People's Liberation Army responsibilities and discussed the Prime Minister's China visit for the participation in the closing ceremony of Beijing Olympics.
Chinese ambassador to Nepal Zheng Xiangling had met Prachanada on Sunday and invited him to visit China to attend the concluding ceremony of the Olympic Games.
Nepal could not send its top state representative to the Olympic opening ceremony.
It is rare for a Nepali Prime Minister choosing a country other than India for his maiden foreign tour, Kantipur reported.
