Naidu assures students of higher sholarship

Hyderabad, Aug 18 (UNI) TDP President N Chandrababu Naidu today assured that scholarships for poor students in Andhra Pradesh would be increased if the party was voted to power in the next elections in the state.

Participating in the Telugu Nadu Students Federation (TNSF) meeting here, Mr Naidu said free bus pass and cycles would be distributed to students studying in rural areas.

Welfare schemes would be taken up for students from poor families to help them pursue their studies, Mr Naidu said and alleged that the present Congress Government in the state had ''failed'' to provide scholarships to all eligible students.
