Mah CITU to take out morcha on August 20
Nashik, Aug 18 (UNI) Maharashtra unit of the Centre of Indian Trade Unions (CITU) will take out a morcha to the district collectorate on August 20 as part of the nationwide strike to press for their various demands.
The strike has been called for demanding rollback of the decision about Employees' Provident Fund (EPF), 12 per cent EPE interest rate, measures to curb inflation, supply of necessary goods in ration shops, insurance, pension facilities to unorganised sector workers, expenditure-based prices for agro products and distribution of loans at four per cent interest rate to farmers and cancellation of ''anti-worker'' recommendations of the Sixth Pay Commission are some of the demands of the union, CITU Maharashtra state committee general secretary Dr D L Karad said here today.
At least five lakh workers, including employees from BSNL, Insurance sector, MSEB, unorganised sector workers, central government and state government employees and CITU members will participate in the strike.
