Goa ministers spend Rs 60,55,160 on foreign tours
Panaji, Aug 18 (UNI) Four ministers of the Digambar Kamat government, who assumed power on July 8 last year, made five official foreign trips entailing an expenditure of Rs 60,55,160.
This was disclosed during question hour by the chief minister in a written reply to a question tabled by Francis D'Souza (BJP).
The then finance minister Dayanand Narvekar visited the UK and Brazil, and later led an official delegation to China spending more than Rs 14 lakhs.
Other ministers who undertook foreign visits included tourism minister Francisco Xavier Pacheco (London), urban development minister Joaquim Alemao (Germany and France) and water resources minister Filip Neri Rodrigues (cannes-France).
