Couple dies in roof collapse

Kaithal, Aug 18 (UNI) A couple sleeping in their house died when the roof of their room collapsed here last night.

According to reports, Tilak Raj, 40, and his wife Seema were sleeping in their house near old Sabji Mandi here, when suddenly the roof of their room collapsed and both were buried under the debris.

On hearing the loud crash, some of the neighbours raised an alarm and rushed to rescue the buried couple while others informed the local officials who also reached the spot.

After much struggle, the victims were extricated from the debris and rushed to hospital but both succumbed to injuries.
