CLP Power CEO assures timely completion of power plants
Chandigarh, Aug 18 (UNI) Chief Executive Officer of CLP Power India Pvt Ltd Andrew Brandler today assured Haryana Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda that the CLP Power would follow its time schedule for commissioning of 2x660 MW super critical technology thermal power plants being set up in Jhajjar district.
The Chief Minister had stressed the need for timely completion of the power project when Mr Brandler called on him here today.
The Haryana Power Generation Corporation (HPGCL) had, on August 7, signed a Share Purchase Agreement with CLP Power for procurement of 1320 MW power for 25 years.
Mr Brandler described Haryana as a very progressive state and added that for CLP Power it was a great opportunity to invest in Haryana. He hoped that the power project would be expanded in future.
Mr Brandler also offered to help the people of the area by setting up schools and training institutes.
The Chief Minister suggested the setting up of Industrial Training Institutes adding that the government was keen to make the people capable of getting employment in the changing scenario.
