Brit accountant recalls 818-digit number to set new memory record
London, Aug 18 : Having a memory for numbers works well for Ben Pridmore, especially after he smashed three records to become UK's memory champ by recalling an 818-digit number.
The 31-year-old accountant from Derby was able to memorize a row of 930 noughts and ones in just five minutes.
And he was also able to recall seven packs of playing cards, accurately, in 10 minutes at the London event.
"It's something everyone can do," British tabloid The Sun quoted him as saying.
He, however, has admitted that even though he has a thing for numbers, he finds it very difficult to remember names.
"I'm still pretty hopeless at remembering people's names," he added.
