Bribery: Asst Engineer dismissed in AP

Hyderabad, Aug 18: The Andhra Pradesh Central Power Distribution Corporation Limited (APCPDCL) today dismissed an Assistant Engineer in Nalgonda district from service following his conviction in a bribery case.

The official M Sahadevudu was convicted by Special Judge for ACB Cases, Hyderabad, who sentenced him to one-year rigorous imprisonment and imposed a fine of Rs 3,000 in the case.

He was caught red-handed by the ACB officials while accepting Rs 2,500 as bribe from a complainant on September 29, 2003, an official release here said.
