Two of family dead, 2 other injured as car rams into truck

New Delhi, Aug 17 (UNI) Two members of a family died and two other seriously injured when their car rammed into a standing truck in Chanakyapuri area of New Delhi district today.

While Poonam (40) and her daughter Shivangi (9) died on the spot, when the accident took place around 1030 hrs at a red light, her husband Vivek Arora and another daughter Diksha were admitted to the AIIMS with serious injuries, according to sources.

Police said the driver has been detained, though there was no fault of his, and was being questioned.

The family was on its way to home in Vasant Kunj after meeting one of their relatives.
