Bangalore, Aug 17: Dismissing the remarks of actress-turned-social activist Shabana Azmi on the status of the minorities in the country as ''uncharitable'', senior BJP leader Venkaiah Naidu on Sunday, Aug 17 said the people belonging to minorities in the country were feeling more safe and secure than any other nation in the world.

Speaking to newspersons here, Mr Naidu said Ms Azmi, who herself also practicing politics was unfair in making a statement that Indian polity was being unfair to Muslims.

We have seen excellent personalities including captains of Indian Cricket team, Chief of Air Staff, Artists, Governors, Cine actors, administrators and so on. ''Nowwhere in the world the Muslims were given too much importance'' he added.
