Madhu Koda govt reduced to minority as JMM withdraws support
Ranchi, Aug 17 (UNI) The Jharkhand Mukti Morcha tonight withdrew support to the 23-month-old UPA-backed Madhu Koda government redcucing it to minority.
After a marathon meeting party president Shibu Soren called on Governor Syed Sibtey Razi and handed over a letter of withdrawal of support to the Government in Jharkhand.
The governor said he would act according to the constitutional provisions.
Soren was accompanied by party MLAs, MPs and some senior party members.
Mr Koda-led UPA government had enjoyed support of 43 MLAs in the 82-member assembly but with 17 JMM legislators' resignation, the government was reduced to minority.
