Woman abducted, raped in Mumbai

Mumbai, Aug 16 (UNI) A 22-year-old woman was allegedly kidnapped and repeatedly raped at Masjid Bunder in south Mumbai.

According to police, the victim was kidnapped by one Dorusuppu (23) on August 8 at around 2130 hrs from Antop Hill and confined in a hut at Masjid Bunder. He then allegedly raped her on several occasions at knifepoint.

However, yesterday the victim managed to escape from his custody and narrated the incident to her parents, who later lodged a complaint.

Further investigations were in progress, the police added.
