Rain related toll in Karnataka rises to 21

Bangalore, Aug 16 (UNI) The toll in rain related incidents in Karnataka has risen to 21 with two more deaths, including a woman and her grandson, in a house collapse in Nagalapur village Yadgir Taluk of Gulbarga District, today.

Police said that the dilapidated house collapsed due to incessant rains that lashed the area since last one week.

The decesed were identified as Sharanamma (60) and Ashok(4). The bodies were extricated from the debris and shifted to the government general hospital for postmortem.

Two others injured in the house collapse were admitted to the same hospital where their condition is said to be serious.
