Independent MLAs stand united to support Koda: Marandi

Dumka, Aug 16 (UNI) Demanding a clarification from Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM) president Shibu Soren over need of change of guard in the state, Deputy Chief Minister and independent MLA Stephen Marandi today asserted that Independent MLAs stood united to support present Chief Minister Madhu Koda.

''The present government was working efficiently in the leadership of Mr Koda and there was no need to bring any change, '' Mr Marandi told UNI here.

Criticising JMM president for his ''adamant'' behaviour over removing Mr Koda, the deputy CM said that JMM leader should go among the people and tell them about the need to change leadership in the state.

Reiterating his earlier stand, he said that he was not going to support Mr Soren and claimed that all other independents extending support to Mr Koda were also with him.

''Since no one from the side of JMM has contacted me or them, therefore there was no question to extend support to Mr Soren,'' he observed.
