George Lazenby hits back at wife's drunk claims

Melbourne, Aug 16 : Aussie actor George Lazenby, famous for his James Bond role, has hit back at drunk claims made by his estranged wife Pam Shriver.

Shriver, a former professional tennis player, claimed that Lazenby had been a drunk who gave beer to their toddler.

"George is devastated by the allegations filed by the court," the Daily Telegraph quoted a spokesman as saying.

"He is devastated and saddened that Pam has aired the alleged dirty laundry.

"I don't know what I'm going to hear next about George. He loves his kids so much," he said.

But the claims were supported by a Sydney nanny, who made an explosive statement against Lazenby to a Los Angleles court, detailing his abusive outbursts and adding that she hopes he never gets custody of his children.

Jessie Buckley, 23, said she was afraid of the one-time James Bond star and confirmed her support for his wife, in her divorce and custody proceedings.

"I am definitely supporting Pam, I definitely hope that he does not get custody of the kids," Ms Buckley said outside her Dee Why home.

In her statement Ms Buckley said Lazenby, 68, was aggressive and not capable of looking after his children - George Jr, 4, and twins Samuel and Kaitlin, 2.
