FIEO appointed as Indian agent of Canton Fair
New Delhi, Aug 16 (UNI) Federation of Indian Export organisation (FIEO), the country's apex trade promotion body, has been appointed as the Indian agent for the Canton Fair.
According to FEIO statement issued here today, the announcement was made after a high level meeting between FIEO President Ganesh Kumar Gupta and CFTC Chairman Zhang Zhijang.
FEIO has taken space of 500 square metres in the fair which would be rechristened as India pavilion.
Indian companies would be able to participate in India Pavilion.
Massive plans have been made by FIEO to make this a mega event.
With the bilateral trade of 25 billion dollar in 2006-07 with China, India is all set to chase a target of 60 billion dollar by 2010, the statement added.
