Chandrababu Naidu escapes in major car accident
Tirumala, Aug 16 (UNI) Telugu Desam Party (TDP) president and former Andhra Pradesh chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu had a miraculous escape in a major car accident on the Tirumala Ghat road when his bullet-proof car went out of control due to brake failure.
However, the driver shifted gear in the nick of time and brought the car to a halt.
Police said Mr Naidu was proceeding to Tirupati after 'Darshan' at the famous Venkateswara temple at Tirumala, along with his family members, including his son Lokesh and daughter-in-law Brahmani when the mishap occurred.
The incident occurred when he was travelling between Tirumala and Tirupati. The brakes of the car got suddenly jammed when it was passing through the 22nd crossing on the Tirumala Ghat road.
However, no one was injured in the incident. Later, they proceeded in another vehicle.
