BSF gunned down two cattle lifters
Barrackpore, Aug 16 (UNI) Border Security Force guarding Indo-Bangladesh border at Dublia in North 24 Parganas gunned down at least two persons including a teenager early today, police said.
Both the deceased were approaching towards the international border to smuggle cattle in the dark when BSF patrolling the site opened fire to prevent them from crossing the border.
The deceased teenager was identified as Liton Biswas(17), a resident of Tentulia while the other Ganesh Mandal(26) was the inhabitant of Harishpur under Swarupnagar police station, a senior police officer at Basirhat said adding that the bodies were sent to Basirhat for postmortem.
