Army-Navy gunnery training institutions sign affiliation
Kochi, Aug 16 (UNI) Indian Army's School of Artillery and 'INS Dronacharya', the Gunnery and Missile weapons training establishment of the Navy today signed the affiliation charter here.
The affiliation would help sharing of new operational concepts, training methodology, infrastructure and faculty, according to an official release.
The affiliation of Indian Naval units and Regiments of the Indian Army is a time honoured tradition that cements the spirit of jointmanship between the two professional forces.
Vice Admiral Sunil K Damle, Flag Officer Commanding-in- Chief Southern Naval Command reviewed an impressive parade jointly presented by the Army and Navy. Lieutenant General BS Pawar, the Commandant of the Artillery School and Lieutenant General IJ Koshy, Director General of the Artillery Corps also witnessed the parade.
