8 killed in road accidents in Rajasthan

Jaipur, Aug 16 (UNI) Eight people were killed in two separate road accidents in Rajasthan today, police said.

Six people were killed and two injured in a collision between a Tata Sumo van and a truck at Chowki Baretha near Mania in Dholpur district this morning, police sources said.

The van was proceeding to Morena from Mathura when it rammed into the truck near Baretha near the MP-Rajasthan border around 0830 hrs.

While five people died on the spot, one injured succumbed on the way to hospital. The injured were admitted to Dholpur District Hospital, the sources said.

In the other mishap, two people were killed when a truck trailer hit a stationary bus from the rear, in Bundi town this morning, the sources said.
