Woman commits suicide with 2 minor children

Ballia, Aug 15: A woman committed suicide along with her minor children, two of whom died, while another was still battling for life at a hospital in Revti area here.

Sangeeta (30) first doused her three children with kerosene and set them afire on the intervening night of August 14 and 15.

Later, she put an end to her life in the same manner, Superintendent of Police Sridhar Tripathi said.

On hearing the shrieks, the locals rushed for help and admitted the quartet in a hospital. The mother and was declared brought dead along with her two children by the doctors, while another was reported critical.

Household dispute was emerging as the reason behind the crime, the SP added.

The bodies have been sent for post-mortem.
