Pak troops fire at BSF outposts along IB in JK

Jammu, Aug 15: On Friday, Aug 15 when Indian is celebrating its 61st Independence day, peace was hindered from Pakistan side in the form of rocket firing. Border Security Force personnel escaped unhurt on Friday, Aug 15 early morning when rockets fired from Pakistan hit two border outposts along the International Border (IB) in R S Pura sector and at Mandi in Poonch sector of Jammu and Kashmir.

''Four to five rockets fired from Pakistan side hit at the Sangrure Abdullian border out post of the BSF in R S Pura sector at around 0230 hrs,'' DIG J B Sangwan told the sources. It is, however, yet not clear who had actually fired at the BSF post, he said. With the two incidents being reported, the number of violations of the November 2003 ceasefire agreement with India by Pakistan Army since January this year has reached 24.
