Nitish announces Rs one lakh compensation to accident victims
Patna, Aug 15 (UNI) Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar announced a compensation of Rs one lakh each to the next of kin of nine people, killed in a road accident in Lakhisarai district today.
Official sources said the Chief Minister had also ordered a magisterial inquiry into the accident and directed the Chief Secretary to take suitable action on the basis of its report.
Mr Kumar also sympathised with the members of the bereaved families.
At least nine people were killed and 12 injured when a bus fell into a ditch near Jhulauna village in south Bihar's Lakhisarai district this morning.
