Curfew lifted in valley despite peaceful processions
Srinagar, Aug 15 (UNI) Despite protests, the authorities lifted curfew from the entire Kashmir valley.
Curfew was clamped on Srinagar and other major towns on August 11 when the processionists who were marching towards border town of Uri on a joint call for ''Muzaffarabad chalo'' given by the both factions of the Hurriyat Conference (HC).
Senior Hurriyat leader Sheikh Abdul Aziz was among six people killed and more than 200, half of them security and police personnel, injured.
However, curfew was relaxed in Srinagar and other areas except in Baramulla and Pulwama yesterday.
