CM announces 2 security universities in Guj to fight terrorism
Palanpur, Gujarat, Aug 15 (UNI) In the back drop of the recent serial bomb blast that rocked Ahmedabad, with a view to strengthen security in the state, Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi today announced that two Security Universities -- Police University and Forensic Science University, will be started in the state.
Speaking at a function organised here to celebrate the 62nd Independence Day, Mr Modi said, ''Gujarat must prepare itself to fight against the terrorists. The state Government will soon set up two security universities to increase safety and security in Gujarat.'' Mr Modi said, the two universities will generate trained police force to fight against the terrorists and professional criminals, who are using hi-tech weapons and methods to disturb peace in Gujarat.
Mr Modi urged people to remain vigilant against any suspicious happenings around them and help the government to tackle terrorism.
Meanwhile, speaking on the Amarnath land row issue Mr Modi alleged that Union Government is playing vote bank politics at the cost of innocent lives.
On the occasion he also announced that the upper age limit for all the jobs in the state will be increased by three years.
