2 Lashkar militants held in Doda

Jammu, Aug 15 (UNI) Two militants of Lashkar-e-Toiba (LeT) were arrested by the security forces, along with two grenades, in Doda district of Jammu and Kashmir, official sources here today said.

''In a joint operation, the troops of 8 RR and police nabbed two LeT militants last night and recovered two hand grenades from their possession, which they had plotted to throw on the crowd during the Independence Day celebrations,'' official sources told UNI.

The militants have been identified as Farooq Ahmed Naik, 27, and Mohd Ishaq, 19, both residents of Neelsu, Doda.
