TN Govt announces CM's special award for policemen
Chennai, Aug 14 (UNI) The Tamil Nadu Government today announced Chief Minister's special award for 15 police personnel on the eve of Independence Day.
While five police personnel were selected for their outstanding social service, ten were selected for best investigation, an official release here said.
The award winners each, would be presented a gold medal weighing eight gms and a cash reward of Rs 5,000 by the Chief Minister, at a function to be held later, the release said.
Intelligence Chief M S Jaffer Sait, Tamil Nadu Rapid Action Force Training school, Deputy Superintendent of Police S Asir Vijayakumar, were among those selected for Chief Minister's award for social service.
Karur Prohibition Additional Superintendent of Police S Nizamudhin, Chennai ''Q'' branch Deputy Superintendent of Police S Mageswaran and Nagercoil Deputy Superintendent of Police M Chandrapal, were among the ten police personnel selected for Chief Minsiter's award for best investigation, the release added.
