STF helds man posing as armyman in UP; passports seized
Lucknow, Aug 14 (UNI) The Special Task Force of the Uttar Pradesh police today arrested a person running an employment racket under fake identity of an Army Major and seized couple of passports from his possession in the state capital.
The accused Mohammad Yunus Khan, resident of Telibagh here termed himself as an Indian Army Major and was running an employment racket.
According to a STF press release, Yunus visited Saudi Arabia several times between 1993 and 2006 and even stayed in Malaysia for couple of months.
The accused got the passport in 1993 and got the second one in 2001 on different address, however, his first passport was valid till 2003. In 2005, he lodged a complaint with the police of his passport being stolen and made the third one with validity period till 2011.
Police recovered fake educational certificates, letter heads with name of Major MU Khan and stamps, blank forms of AMC central command, PAN card and three credit cards.
