Sekhar Reddy takes charge as APERC member
Hyderabad, Aug 14 (UNI) Retired Indian Revenue Service official C R Sekhar Reddy took charge as member of the Andhra Pradesh Electricity Regulatory Commission (APERC) at a function here today.
He was administered the oath of office and secrecy by APERC Chairman A Raghotama Rao.
Consequent on voluntary retirement of Surinder Pal as Member of the commission, the government had constituted a selection committee, headed by retired High Court judge Justice D Vamana Rao.
Based on the recommendations of the committee, the government appointed Mr Reddy as member for a term of five years from today.
During his tenure in the Indian Revenue Service (Income Tax) for 28 years, he served in Andhra Pradesh and other states in various capacities.
