Rupee falls at 42.88/89 per USD
Mumbai, Aug 14: The Rupee on Thursday, Aug 14 fell to a four-weeks low at 42.88/89 per US Dollar, shedding about 23 paise form its previous close of 432.65/66 per dollar, as oil prices started moving up and stocks fell in the opening trade.
Indian unit slid to its lowest in nearly four weeks as higher oil prices raised worries of a widening trade deficit and larger dollar demand from oil refiners, dealers said.
