Raje criticises UPA Govt for "creating hurdles for Rajasthan
Bikaner, Aug 14 (UNI) Rajasthan Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje today criticised the UPA Government at the Centre for stopping release of funds for the National Rural Employment Guarantee Scheme(NREGS) works in the state and creating hurdles in supply of coal and boilers for thermal power stations.
Speaking at the foundation laying ceremony for Rs 202 crore Kolayat Gajner water supply scheme at Kodamdesar near here, Raje said that despite the state's remarkable performance in implementation of NREGS works, the Centre had stopped funds for the scheme to the state for past 2 months.
''Besides this, hurdles being posed by the Centre in supply of coal and boilers for our thermal plants, were leading to delay in generation from power projects'', she alleged.
The Chief Minister said that the Congress, the senior UPA partner, was trying to create a general impression that development activities in Rajasthan were being run by the Central funding but this was not true as the state was carrying development with public money.
She assured that her government was committed to ensure fast and timely implementation of development projects.
Tourism and Excise Minister Devi Singh Bhati and other leaders also spoke on the occasion.
