Jessica Simpson ditches pop for country music

Washington, Aug 14 : American pop singer Jessica Simpson has revealed that she is dropping pop music to concentrate on country music.

Simpson, who had recently expressed her desire to be like country music legend Dolly Parton, is preparing to release her new album of country tracks in September (08).

The Texan native also revealed that she already feels more comfortable in her new genre.

"I will never do pop again," Contactmusic quoted Simpson as telling Elle magazine.

She is more than happy to let her sister Ashlee concentrate on topping the charts and appearing on pop shows, because her sibling is a better dancer.

"I'm just not rhythmic like that. I might shake my booty, but I'll be off the beat. My sister Ashlee has got all the rhythm in the family," Simpson added.
