Free travel facility for women on Raksha Bandhan

Chandigarh, Aug 14 (UNI) The Haryana Government will provide free travel facility to women with their children up to the age of 15 years in Haryana Roadways buses on Raksha Bandhan day.

Haryana Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda said that this free travel concession would be available on August 16 to women of all ages in buses of Haryana Roadways operating within the state including the buses plying upto Chandigarh and Delhi except in Haryana Gaurav, Deluxe and AC Volvo buses.

He said that the facility was introduced to facilitate the ladies to visit their brothers to celeberate Raksha Bandhan.

Meanwhile, the Haryana Transport Commissioner said that in view of the expected rush of passengers on this day, all general managers of Haryana Roadways had been asked to personally ensure the deployment of a maximum number of buses.
