Complete 450-bedded VIMS hospital by Dec, CM asks officials
Hyderabad, Aug 14 (UNI) Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Dr Y S Rajasekhara Reddy today directed the officials to complete the construction of 450-bedded hospital of the Visakhapatnam Institute of Medical Sciences (VIMS) by December 2008.
Chairing the executive board meeting of Sri Venkateswara Institute of Medical Sciences, Tirupati, the Chief Minister here reviewed the activities of VIMS and NIMS as well, an Office release said.
Mr Reddy was informed that the construction work of 1130-beded hospital of VIMS at Visakhapatnam was taken up in 2006 at a total cost of Rs 209 crore with 15 blocks. In the first phase, the construction of building accommodating 450 beds in six blocks, costing Rs 55 crore, has been taken up first to be completed by December 2008.
