Chandigarh, Aug 14 (UNI) Bowing to the orders of the party high command, the Punjab Congress leaders today decided to sink their differences so as to ensure the defeat of the Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD)-BJP alliance in the next Lok Sabha polls.

" We will win all the 13 Lok Sabha in the elections", former chief minister and state Election Committee Chairman Capt Amarinder Singh declared in the presence of Congress Legislature Party (CLP) leaders Rajinder Kaur Bhattal and Punjab Pradesh Congress Committee (PPCC) Working President Mohinder Singh Kaypee.

" In a large family differences of opinion are always there, but that is a thing of the past", Capt Singh said without glancing at Mrs Bhattal during the press conference at the Punjab Congress Bhawan here.

The occasion was the formal 'installation' of Mr Kaypee as PPCC chief. After the resignation of Mrs Bhattal from the PPCC chief's post, Mr Kaypee, a dalit leader was given temporary charge of the top party post by his party command.

Mrs Bhattal too declared that there was no differences in the state Congress and they were all united. She prefered not to comment on the 'war of words' that she and Capt Singh had indulged in during the last year or so.

" We are making a new begining, lets forget the past", Mr Kaypee said when mediapersons reminded him of Capt Singh's charges that Mrs Bhattal was 'soft' towards the SAD-BJP government. Capt Singh and Mrs Bhattal had last come together during the Budget session of the Punjab assembly in March when the former chief minister made a brief appearance to speak on the debate on the Governors address.
