Combined Defence Services exam results out
New Delhi, Aug 14 (UNI) The Union Public Service Commission(UPSC) today declared the results of the Combined Defence Services Examination-(II), 2007.
A total of 395 candidates have finally qualified--of them, 336 for admission to the Officers Training Academy, Chennai, 88th Short service Commission Course (for men) and 50 to the 2nd Short Service Commission Course for women (Non-Technical), commencing in October.
The examination were held by the UPSC and interview conducted by the Service Selection Board of the Ministry of Defence.
The list of 88th Short Service Commission Course (for Men) also includes the names of the candidates who were recommended earlier on the basis of results of the same examination for the admission to the Indian Military Academy, Dehradun, Naval Academy, Goa Course and Air force academy , Hyderabad Course.
The number of vacancies as intimated by the government for Short service Commission Course (for Men) is 175 and for 2nd Short service Commission for women (Non- Technical) Course is 15. The candidature of all the candidates is provisional.
