Spice Corporation goes International; to tap Asian markets
Singapore, Aug 14: Spice Corporation Chairman B K Modi launched his international business in Singapore with an investment of 200 million dollars to tap on the young Asian markets. Describing Singapore as the hub of Asia, Dr Modi today told reporters here that India-based Spice Corp will be focusing on telecommunications, entertainment and real estate businesses in the regional markets from Israel to Indonesia.
Spice has started operations in the city-state in collaboration with Cellebrum Technologies Ltd, a leading operator of agnostic mobile systems. Dr Modi will consolidated his international businesses in Singapore, moving financial activities from Dubai and the entertainment/film production from Hollywood. Dr Modi has appointed mobile telephone system veteran Parikshit Bhasin as the Group President for Global Business and Alliances.
Mr Bhasin has been with Spice Corp in Singapore since May this year and will be leading a wide range of business developments, Dr Modi said.
The Singapore regional headquarter will be the first consolidated Spice Corp venture to form business alliances, partnerships and strategic network with global operators of mobile telecommunications and entertainment businesses.
