Tom Cruise is still hot on the red carpet
Washington, Aug 13 : Even though he may have had only a small part to play in 'Tropic Thunder', actor Tom Cruise still commanded the most attention on the red carpet for the film's recent Los Angeles premiere.
Cruise, whose part in the movie was that of studio exec Les Grossman, stuck close by his wife Katie Holmes on August 11 night, moving away only to greet fans and to pose for a quick cast shot.
It was not only the fans who were eager to see the couple, but their fellow co-stars also, as Matthew McConaughey, Ben Stiller and Jack Black were seen giving big hugs to Cruise.
And co-star Jay Baruchel told People that Cruise is "the funniest guy in the world."
Robert Downey Jr., who played an actor posing as an African-American in the film, said he just got out of character after wrapping up the DVD commentary.
"The actor, in the movie, said that he never dropped character until the DVD commentary, and in keeping with being a 'method-idiot,' I'm never going to do it again," People magazine quoted him as saying.
