PIB to webcast Independence Day addresses
New Delhi, Aug 13 (UNI) The Press Information Bureau has made special arrangements for webcast of President's Address to the Nation on the eve of Independence Day and also the Prime Minister's Independence Day Address on its website in collaboration with the National Informatics Centre.
These webcasts will be available simultaneously with their telecast on Doordarshan, an official release said today.
While the President's address to the nation will be available on www.pib.nic.in. starting at 1900 hours on August 14 and the Independence Day celebrations at the Lal Quila from 0700 hours on August 15.
PIB and NIC have been collaborating for webcasts of Prime Minister's addresses and other important events. An audio-visual archive has been created on PIB's website for video on demand.
