Nitish nominates member of National Council for Land Reforms
Patna, Aug 13 (UNI) Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar has been nominated as the member of National Council for Land Reforms, headed by Prime Minister Manmohan Singh.
Official sources said here today that the Council would work for acclerating the process of distribution of land among landless to improve the economic condition of the weaker section.
'' Fine tuning of land reforms administration to minimise the land-related litigations and to ensure hassle-free distribution of surplus land among landless people in identified areas besides increasing the avaiability of arable land will be among the other areas of activity of the council, '' sources added.
