Minor, father held for knocking down man dead

Nagpur, Aug 13 (UNI) A 15-year old boy and his father were arrested after the former knocked down a senior citizen while riding a motorcycle, police said today.

According to police, the minor boy, whose identity was not revealed, knocked down Mohandas Keshavdas Methwani (65) while riding a motorcycle, without a valid licence, at breakneck speed here late last night.

Methwani, who sustained grievous injuries, succumbed while on way to hospital.

The boy and his father Ramesh Khadatkar have been arrested under relevant sections of India Penal Code and Motor Vehicle (MV) Act, police said.
