Indian delegation to visit Madagascar to improve relations

Mumbai, Aug 13 (UNI) A high powered delegation of 37 Indian entrepreneurs will be travelling to Madagascar for a seminar organized by the Confederation of Indian Industries (CII), scheduled on September one and two.

The delegation constitutes industrialists from New Delhi, Maharashtra, including Mumbai and Pune, with the Government of India through the Indian Embassy in Madagascar initiating this project.

The delegation will have interaction with their counterparts in Madagascar on coopeartion in small and medium scale industries as well as trade and tourism development, a release issued here today said.

There is a sizeable population of businessmen and industrialists of Indian origin who have settled in Madagascar since last 125 years and they have contributed significantly in the enhancement of development of economy of the country, consequently further activating bilateral relation between the two countries.

Mumbai, the commercial capital of India and Antananarivo, the capital city of Madagascar, have already established sister-city relations, the release added.
