Heavy rainfall in Gujarat

Ahmedabad, Aug 13 : Heavy monsoon downpour flooded streets and disrupted life in Gujarat during the last 24 hours.

The Worst affected areas are south and central parts of the State where eight people were killed. Vadodara, Surat, Navsari, Valsad and Bharuch districts were totally out of gear.

About ten thousand people have been evacuated from the five districts of South Gujarat.

The district administration has started the relief works.
