Flow of traffic affected on Mumbai-Agra highway

Nashik, Aug 13 (UNI) Vehicular traffic on the busy Mumbai-Agra highway came to a standstill today after a chemical tanker overturned in the Rahud Ghat area, near Chandwad, in Chand taluka of Nasik district of Maharashtra.

According to police, the tanker, loaded with chemicals, belonging to the Hindustan Petroleum corporation Limited (HPCL), was en route to Nagpur from Mumbai when the mishap occurred.

Due to leakage of the gas, traffic on both sides of the highway was stopped as a precautionary measure.
