Father axed to death by his son in Punjab village

Hoshiarpur, Aug 13 (UNI) A farmer was axed to death by his son in Nangal Kalan village near Mahilpur in the district today, police sources here said.

According to the police, Ravinder Singh hit his father, Shingara Singh with an axe on the head, killing him of the spot. The son was angry as his father had refused to give him money and in a fit of anger he picked up an axe and attacked Shingara Singh.

After murdering his father, Ravinder Singh fled. The Mahilpur police has registered a case under section 302 of the IPC against the alleged accused.
